Thank you for using GoneCart ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information in connection with the App and how you can exercise your privacy rights. By installing or using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you install and use GoneCart, we collect the following personal information from your Shopify store (through Shopify):

• First and last name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Billing or shipping address

2. How We Use the Information

We use personal information solely to provide and operate the App’s core functionality:

• To send email notifications related to abandoned checkouts using our third‑party email provider, Resend.
• To enable the App to function correctly with your Shopify store.
• To provide support when you contact support@mindcast.dev.

We do not use the data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any other secondary purposes.

3. Data Sharing and Third‑Party Processors

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with trusted third‑party service providers that help deliver the App:

• Resend — used to send email notifications.
• Hetzner (EU) — hosting provider where encrypted data is stored on a VPS located in the European Union.

All third parties we work with are contractually required to implement appropriate security measures and process data only as necessary to provide their services.

4. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Storage:

• Data is stored encrypted on a Hetzner VPS located in the European Union.

Security:

• We implement industry‑standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption at rest and in transit and access controls.

Retention:

• We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App and for a maximum of 7 days for abandoned‑checkout related data.
• If you uninstall the App or request deletion, we will promptly delete all related data.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Right to restrict or object to processing (where applicable).
• Right to data portability (where applicable).
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data).

6. International Transfers

The App stores data on servers located within the European Union. If any data transfer outside the EEA or to a country without an adequacy decision occurs, we will ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) as required by law.

The App is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
